Whether you are experiencing issues with divorce or annulment, child custody and visitation rights, child support payments, and/or spousal support it is most likely one of the most difficult and often emotional times of your life. Navigating these issues with the court is no easy task and having a skilled and compassionate attorney is nearly essential to obtain fair and reasonable results in your favor.

Here at The Hurdle Law Firm, we understand that no two family law cases are alike; each one presents its own unique circumstances and challenges. Let us help you get the results you deserve and need in the Tampa family court system.

It is important to also note that Florida is a no-fault divorce state, which means that it is not necessary for a party to prove fault to obtain a divorce. A spouse need only to plead in their Petition for Dissolution that the marriage is irreconcilably broken and that they have been a Florida resident for six months prior to the filing of the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage.  In most cases there are two main ways to approach a divorce case: uncontested and contested.

Family law matters routinely handled by our team include:

  • Divorce (contested and non-contested)

  • Alimony

  • Child Support

  • Child Custody

  • Child Visitation

  • Guardianship

  • Mediation

  • Modification actions

  • Paternity

  • Relocation

FATHER'S RIGHTS

Many fathers are not aware of all their rights as a parent. Long gone are the days where a woman automatically gets primary custody of the children, and men are left to just take on the financial hardship of paying child support without any custodial benefits that the mother reaps. You deserve to have an attorney that will educate you on your rights as a father here in Florida, and that will fight for your vested interest in the relationship you have with your children.
